What the house is like

The Lavanda sleeping loft with its railing above the sofa and table

Lavanda is a grey timber house with a sleeping loft: a ladder leads up to the double bed under the timber ceiling, and downstairs there are built-in benches with cushions, a table and a sofa bed. The kitchen corner has an electric hob, a mini fridge and everything for cooking; the bathroom has a shower and a hair dryer.

On a hot summer day the air conditioning runs; in autumn, the heater. The deck has a dining table, sun loungers and a hanging chair, there is a hammock between the birches, and a grill with charcoal and utensils by the house.

From the deck you see the meadow, the other house and the river. Evenings are quiet; during the park's opening hours there is life on the water.

  • What a find! This amazing little house is right by the river. It was so peaceful and beautiful there, it was hard to leave. We hired kayaks and had a lovely time out on the water. An easy walk from the train station.

  • The place is beautiful, immersed in nature, and right in front of the water ski park. It's incredibly peaceful and relaxing. If you're looking to stay in the Jūrmala area but don't want to be surrounded by crowds, I highly recommend this place.

Questions people ask

Who sleeps in the loft?

Upstairs is a double bed reached by a timber ladder. Downstairs is a sofa bed for two. With small children, or if ladders are not your thing, there is enough room downstairs. Which house suits a family better and what there is for children: Jūrmala with kids.

Does Lavanda have air conditioning?

What is the cancellation policy?

Airbnb applies the flexible policy to Lavanda: a full refund if you cancel by 15:00 the day before check-in. After that every night except the first is refunded.

Is Lavanda good for a stay for two?

Yes: the loft, a deck to have dinner on and the sunset over the river right in front. An evening without a spa or a gift card: a romantic cabin near Riga.

What is a tiny house, and is Lavanda one?

A tiny house is a small home with everything in one room and the bed often up a ladder. Lavanda is exactly that. How a night goes and which house suits you: tiny house in Jūrmala.

How does Lavanda compare with a hotel in Jūrmala?
