What the house is like

A guest in the hanging chair on the Saulriets deck with a drink

Saulriets is a compact black timber house with a big window facing the meadow. Inside there is a living space with a sofa bed, a sleeping corner with a double mattress, a small kitchen with an electric hob and a fridge, and a private bathroom with a shower.

Most of life happens outside. The deck with its dining table and hanging chair sits under a pergola strung with lights, the charcoal grill stands beside it, and a hammock hangs between the birches. In the evening the sun sets over the river, which is where the name comes from: saulriets means sunset.

The house suits a couple or a family with two children. Four adults fit, but a tiny house is tiny: one room where you sleep, eat and sit.
