Season, weather and how to book

The view from the Lavanda pergola towards the other house and the Lielupe

The park runs in season, usually from May to September, every day from 10 to 19. Sessions on the water depend on the weather: in wind and thunderstorms they do not happen.

Equipment and lessons are booked with the park, not on Airbnb. Opening hours and contacts are on waterskis.lv. Activities are not included in the house price.

On the busiest days the waterfront is livelier. If you want quiet, pick weekdays or autumn.

The park sets the prices; check them on waterskis.lv before you come. The park is a member of the Latvian water-ski and wakeboard federation; children's camps and competitions run here in summer.

Questions people ask

Do I need to be able to swim?

The park hands out life vests for SUP, kayaks and the tube. Wakeboarding and water-skiing need an instructor, which the park provides.

From what age can children go on the water?

Children's water-ski lessons start at early school age; in a pedal catamaran or a two-seat kayak a child goes with an adult. The park states the exact conditions.

Is there anything to do in autumn and winter?

Out of season the park is closed. What stays is the river bank, the birch grove, the grill, the board games and Jūrmala across the bridge: Dzintari forest park, the Līvu water park, the beach. What the bank is like out of season: riverside cabin in Latvia.

Do I need a Jūrmala pass to drive to the park?

No. Priedaine and the park are outside the toll zone. The EUR 5 a day pass is needed only if you drive over the bridge to the beach or the centre. Where to buy it and who is exempt: Jūrmala entry fee.

Is rental included in the house price?

No. The house price covers the stay; SUP, kayaks and the rest are the park's services at the park's prices.
